Re: (erielack) Erie F unit numbering



To elaborate on something I posted a minute ago, the original numbers on the
sides were very small, much too small, it turned out, and they were replaced
with larger numbers AND letters fairly soon, like by (I think) 1950.  But
the letters went away for the 1,2,3,4 alternative a few years later.
