RE: (erielack) Palomar telescope mirror blank



A prestigious move out of Corning Glass ....... NYC was also VERY interested
in moving the blank (I think they had proposed going south out of Corning).
DL&W (the third RR in Corning) really wasn't in the running.  The "first"
blank (apparently flawed during the manufacturing process) is currently on
display at the Corning Glass Museum.

No, El Jefe, I don't know the routing, but I'd guess Erie, SF.  Simple, only
one interchange.  What I'd really like to know is what well-hole flat was
used.
