It's a small creek, too-you could walk across it most of the time and not
get your knees wet. Anyone notice how some of the most impressive
engineering works are built to cross such minor waterways? Look at Starrucca
and Tunkhannock Viaducts, though I remember reading somewhere that the
engineers on the Cutoff project originally planned a fill with culverts to
cross the valley at Nicholson. Then they saw Tunkhannock Creek flood in the
spring, and decided a viaduct would be a better idea.
