I would like to wish all on the "EL Digest" a very Happy and safe New Year. 
Let us pray that the tragic violence that happened in 2001 will never happen 
again. 

As I write this on 12/31, Diner 741 has reached Portland, PA. and the 
"Portland Turn" will pick up the car today for movement to Scranton. Her 
wheels are being polished once again by the rails of the former Erie 
Lackawanna main line, courtesy of today's, The Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad.

Next year will be an exciting year at ELDCPS. The restoration of 741 will 
begin, and their are other projects that we have in mind in the reproduction 
of EL, Erie and DL&W Dining Car Memorabilia. Some of the items will be of 
very limited runs, due to the cost involved. 

We hope to be adding a lot of material to our website during January and 
February as time allows, so please visit with us frequently.
