It wasn't empty very long, Conrail used it right up untill shortly before
tearing it down when they moved back into space in the Lackawanna passenger
station (which lasted untill NS built a new structure on the site of the
freight house).   I still kick myself for not snitching a box or two from
out of the building shortly before it was torn down - you could walk right
into it at that point and pick up everything from leftover Conrail paperwork
to caboose lanterns.
