Fellow Listers,
    What would have happened  if the Erie and the Lackawanna had merged, say 
in 1940, how might the motive power been assigned (locations)? 
    I knew very little about Lackawanna steam until recently. The Lackawanna 
had some very fine locomotives. My personal favorite is the Hudson. Also, I 
really like those big Mikados, 3-cylinder Mountains, and the passenger 
Poconos.
