The two EL ones I remember that were in use into Conrail (?) were the sharp
curve west of Mt.View and the curve at Montville, they were messy
contraptions!

Dear Group (and thanks to smt and Richard for responding already),
I'm specifically curious to know whether track-mounted (rather than
engine-mounted) flange oilers were in use; these were essentially
troughs of oil or grease that the train ran through to lubricate the
flanges on curves.
So, we have some news on Erie -- what about Lackawanna?
And, were the oilers still used in the "modern" era?
