Dear Group,
We've discussed the nose door-mounted red bullseye lights on the front
of Lackawanna F units, and the red bulb in the Mars Light assembly on
the passenger F3s and E8s. Emergency lights. Right.
But, I am now looking at a photo of a Lackawanna MU high trailer car at
the Gladstone station. The roof-mounted red bullseye light below the
headlight is illuminated, along with the usual red marker lights. Was
the bullseye light on the MUs just used as a third marker light at the
rear of the train?
Also, never got a definitive answer on the red light in the nose of the
U34CHs. Marker light, emergency light, or other?
Cheers,
Alan <quahog_@_sprint.ca>
