I forgot to mention that the Sparrows Point Division of Bethehem Car Works has released its kit #SP-19, "DL&W Wood Caboose." The ELHS was selling these at Marion, so I picked up one. What's in the $49.95 (list) box? * MANY laser-cut wood pieces that are very clean and require little, if any, cleanup * A piece of ladder stock (the spacing is way wrong, but it appears you have to remove every other tung and it should be fine) * A brass etching of the "kick plates" on the end platforms * Etched brass pieces for the underframe center beam * Wire for the handrails * Self-stick paper (for attaching the roof and sides to the core carbody * NO trucks or couplers Anyone know who makes the correct trucks for this car? (either style) Overall, the kit is well-done, and very detailed in terms of the laser-cut pieces. A bit pricey, but hey, it's STILL cheaper than brass. And you'll have a *real* wood caboose! - Paul Paul R.
