Really, there are two problems. The first is the butt-ugly carbody, but I assume NJT can't do much about that. The graphics styling, however, can be changed. Look at the GE Genisis. It took Amtrak 4 tries to get something that looked good, though the New Haven paint on the new CDOT ones is by far the best a Genny has worn.
