Pete,

I memory serves I think the larger diamond was certainly a post 1941
product. Erie steam had the yellow diamond with serif lettering prior to the
1941 rebuild of the K-5/5a's where thereafter they got the sans-serif
lettering in the diamond. Seems that it would only make sense that the
freight equipment would follow suit since their white diamonds also reflect
this trend??
