Re: (erielack) Dayton Branch

Delorme Ohio Atlas & Gazeteer shows a line marked "abandoned" heading
southwesterly out of Marion, that eventually joins up with some other lines
and appears to cross I-70 west of Springfield.

Don't know where you are headed orcoming from, but coming from upstate NY we
usually cross Ohio, rather than dropping all the way to I-70 getting off
I-71 in Mansfield and taking US 30 across. Much of that is also 4-lane
interstate, but some of it is 2-lane; it follows the Erie mainline roughly
-From Mansfield on (but about 5-10 miles north of it most of the way). Also
crosses a number of active rail lines. The only thing I miss is seeing the
EL 40' box car behind a barn on a farm on the east side of 71, just above

All,
COuld someone please tell me approximately where did the Marion-Dayton EL
branch cross I-70 in ohio? I will be heading that way and would like to
know approximately ( a mile marker would be great!) Is there anything left
of it?

Thanks in advance!
