I can answer the Buffalo questions, The yard on the West side of the Thruway
is the rebuilt NS Bison Yard, Former EL(DL&W), C&O, N&W (Wabash). The open
drawbridge that you saw in the distance is the ex NKP bridge over the
Buffalo River. The adjacent Buffalo Creek Bridge is still used by NS, CSX
and the B&P.
