Hi Folks,
I would agree with Paul that the most detailed Erie Pacifics would be brass
if you've got the bucks.
However, today in the mail Manuta sent me a different pilot like the ones in
the pictures, and bell for the boiler front. I didn't ask for them, just sent
a copy of my review asking for a photo or reference of the engine they
modeled. They sent parts to match the pictures I could view. I am unsure
whether the model I received had a "one-of'-a-kind" pilot, or what--not much
to compare it with here in Montana. But the change clears up the pilot and
bell mystery on their K-4 Pacific. The model is not brass, but it pulls well,
delights the kids with smoke, and it looks (to me) to be pretty good.
