Re: (erielack) NJT Cab Car 5146

Todd-

Yeh! I went past there twice today and it was there at 9:45 AM and 2:45
PM. I have no idea why it was there. Had a relative who used to work for
a company that hauled PATH cars on flatbeds to somewhere outside of
Richmond, VA for repairs. Might be headed there????

Stopped at Whippany to see the "postal" train (CTC Express). Took some
pictures in bad weather. Hopefully they will appear on my web site later
in the month. Anybody have a fix on the work being done there? There was
a dump truck from the M&E with a small crane (on the rails) and a front
loader with a "three fingered grabber". Looked like they were dropping
ties off along the tracks.

Also seen there were four cars all marked URHS with names "Erie",
"Lackawanna", "Central of New Jersey" and "Lehigh Valley/Pennsylvania?".
Where are these from and are they "for real(ex railroads they are named
after)"? I just looked through the URHS site and can't find mention of
these cars in their present state.

Behind the postal (engine and two cars) train was a beautiful Southern RPO
#36 and a business car marked "Virginia Railway Investment" on the ends and
"Kitchi Gamma Club" as the car name. What's that about??? You can see the
CTC Express at:
