(erielack) Overland Bay-windows... a review...

I finally got my EL bay-windows today (1 C300 GMY, 2 C301-series GMY, 1
C301-series red)

A quick review (I brought in the C309 in GMY into my office here):

* The detail is quite nice. These are more detailed than the earlier run,
but the underframe isn't THAT much more detailed. But it's very nicely done
nevertheless. The small yellow square markers are nicely done. The screens
are also very nice. Roof detail is well-done, too.

* The paint is impeccable. The colors are good, the lettering is sharp and
accurate (hooray!). There's one minor gripe: The "Safety First" logo on one
side of my C338 model is upside down and backwards (mirror image!) Not quite
sure how they managed to screw that up, but hey, now I've got decals to fix
that... :)

I looked briefly at the C300 (it's also very nice), and the red caboose,
which is good, but with two gripes: 1) The EL diamond seems awfully heavy,
and 2) the roofwalk is black. Was that the case? I thought it was red as
well.

Overall, a very nice model...
