Re: (erielack) Canadian interchange around Buffalo



William Shultz helped me out with:the ownership of the Niagara Junction:

In 1948 the NYC, the Erie and the Lehigh Valley purchased the railroad.

 and commented that:

"The line was electrified in 1913 - a logical enough move
for a road owned by an electric company. The road's freight business
prospered."

Correct, but kind of funny that Westinghouse (the owners, essentially, of
the
Niagara Falls Power Co) waited until after their systems were in place on
the Erie (1907), NH (1907/8) and the PRR a year or so later, and several
other roads before doing their own, when it could have served as a
demonstration line.
