Subject: (erielack) PHEOBE SNOW MODELS UPDATE
Just to bring everyone who expressed interest in the models of the diners
and
tavern-lounge cars, here's the latest. I received my copy of Dave
Randadalls'
book The Passenger Car Library Vol. 2 Wednesday and it contains excellent
plans for both cars including interior layouts. There are also a number of
fine photographs of the interiors of both cars. In short, it is exactly what
we need to go forward with actual construction of the first models. I hope
to
sit down with Ed Petras Sunday afternoon during my layover in Port Jervis to
do a little more brainstorming if he's home. I had hoped to have a couple of
other manufacturer's HO models to compare to the plans for consideration for
modifying but they haven't arrived at my dealer's place as of Friday
afternoon so that will probably have to wait until the 25th.
Mr. Randall graciously granted permission to copy the plans which helps a
great deal. The book also contains plans for other DL&W cars as well as a
number of othe Northeastern roads. It is an invaluable modelling and
reference tool. It is spiral bound which makes removal of individual pages
easy for such purposes. I highly recommend it.
