(erielack) ELHS meetings, local and otherwise.

Jon, there aren't any "chapters" of the ELHS, though there are a bunch of
active members in New Jersey, and others in Ohio, but to a large degree this
is a reflection of their initiative in organizing something to do and
working with the Society to publicize the event, whatever it might be.

I know that there is a Western Spring Meeting organized this year a bit
further west than usual (the organizers are reading this and I'll allow them
to toot their own horns!), and this year's Eastern Spring Meeting will be
Sunday April 9th at the Holiday Inn, in Parsippany, NJ. If that sounds
familiar, it is because that's where the Annual Meeting was last fall. They
gave us good service, and a really good proposal for hosting this Spring
Meeting.

Registration forms for both meetings will be in the next Extra Board, which
will come out in early March. But save the dates now.

Jon, take the bull by the horns there. I imagine that if you organized a
dinner somewhere for a slide show, you'd get a goodly bunch of people to
attend. And you have a good organizing mechanism right in front of you this
minute! We can work with you to find other off-line members too.

I'll also announce here that the Annual Meeting for 2000 will be in
Rochester in late September. The precise weekend is still being resolved,
but make your weekend reservations in the family plans soon.

Schuyler Larrabee
Chairman, ELHS
