Re: (erielack) EL GP35's



Wasn't the bluish smog/haze due to the fact that the FM design was an
opposed-piston engine which, due to gravity, would drain lubricating oil
into the combustion chamber as piston rings and sleeves wore?  Add to that
the fact that it was a 2-cycle engine, with a power stroke on each cycle,
and that would explain the bluish haze.  Too bad the citizens of Los Angeles
don't want to substitute trains in place of cars to get rid of its haze!
