Found this website about Warren County, NJ history.

It has some good photos of towns and industry in western NJ including places
like 
      Belvidere, Buttzville, Oxford And Washington
      Alpha, Harmony And Franklin Township
      Allamuchy, Hackettstown And Independence
      Blairstown, Hardwick And Hope

A few have RR scenes, and a number of mine and furnace shots.

Might be useful for modellers of steam era Lacakawanna...
