Re: (erielack) FW: [ProTrak] Scale track lengths/capacities

I can give a little more info on these scales

Secaucus, NJ was a Howe scale.
Paterson, NJ " "
Harrison, NJ " "
Port Morris, NJ " "
Phillipsburg, NJ this one was an Atlas Scale. It had a wood weigh bridge
and deck. Was more like a wagon scale than railroad. Was still in the ground
in 1976.
Nazareth, Pa was a Buffalo scale. Used by Conrail until Allentown was
rebuilt and new uncoupled in motion scale installed.
Portland, Pa was a Fairbanks scale used until 1977. Scale house burned by
vandalls and scale retired.
Scranton, Pa was a Faibanks Scale. Used until sold to D&H RR.
Bloomsburg, Pa Buffalo Scale Retired by Conrail 1976
Binghamton, NY Both the DL&W and Erie scales retired before 1975.
Elmira, NY Buffalo Scale Retired by Conrail 1984.

In addition the DL&W had scales at Cortland, Syracuse and Utica, NY.
Cortland and Syracuse were both Fairbanks 300,000lb capy. scales.
Utica was retirewd before 1975.
Cortland was in service after the NYS&W took over then retired.
