There's a new book out about the Lackawanna town of Orange, New Jersey,
written by past Tri-State president Don Dorflinger. Don had agreed to bring
books to the January 13th Tri-State meeting for autographs at AlliedSignal.
If you can't wait 'till then, the following is his release. And he has a
bunch at dutch auction on Ebay, so you can see what the cover looks like. (A
work committment prevents him from making the December meeting.)
Meanwhile, Don sez that the Lackawanna and the Erie's Orange Branch are well
represented. Don, a terrific writer and one of the Block Line's all-time
best editors, knows his history well, so this book should survive the
scrutiny of the historians. Don also sez that he's pitching this company on
a postcard series book on the Water Gap trolleys since he has plenty of
material to do it.
