Today's F40's are yesterday's FL9's. Somebody ought to grab a pair of
Amtrak F40's before THEY go the same route as the PA's.

Thought y'all'd like to know that John C. Benson reports that the PAs
crossed
the border yesterday, 11/30/99 at 2 p.m. local time en route to Portland.
They are no longer in Mexico. Feels good that the 20-plus-year battle is
over.
These are the two hulks, and much restoration is necessary. But at least
the
work can finally begin. Plans are to restore one of them cosmetically to
Santa Fe for the Smithsonian, and Doyle McCormack wants to make his
opperational in a Nickel Plate paint scheme.
