Last week I saw a maintainer walking the tracks in town. I spoke briefly with him. He too heard that NS may use the old Erie to run coal trains. He mentioned that they may use the W+LE interchange with the Erie in Kent and then go west from there. The track is missing west of Latimer, Ohio. So I would imagine any west bound traffic would have to head south (if its possible) on the former NYC Ashtabula line from Latimer and then west at Coalburg on the old Erie to Meadville. ------------------------------------------------------------ Visit the erielack photopage at http://el-list.railfan.net ------------------------------
