Re: (erielack) It's Baby Train Master



Sorry I stirred up a hornet's nest about the "little FMs".  In my own
defense, I would like to point out my source.  It is "The Lackawanna
Railroad in Northwest New Jersey" by Lowenthal and Greenberg.  On p. 224 is
a photo by John Krause with quote: "Erie-Lackawanna Baby Trainmaster No.
1930 (ex-DL&W No 930) is in charge of the Dover drill as she returns from
Branchville through the fields north of Lafayette on a winter day in 1963.
The one-car freight consist gives mute testimony to the lack of business on
the Sussex branch."  By the way, the book gives the last day of service from
Branchville to Andover Junction as July 10, 1966 rather than July 13.  I
don't know myself which is correct.  The book shows GP-7 number 1403
handling these last trains.        Russ
