Went to Tobyhanna today, looking at waybills to the Army Depot and one says: Destination: Tobyhanna Army Depot Route: WM LUR RDG ALLEN CNJ PBURG EL Waybilled from: Culbertson, Penna (?) typing very fuzzy Full name of shipper: Letterkenny Army Depot Car initals and no. : Crane 197 Under number of packages and marks says: 1 crane or derrick mvg on wheels but not own power slc res. 25mph AAR rule 3 item c file c 8909 EL Weight: 166090 Rate: 60 Freight: 996.54 Date 4/16/65 reads to me like E-L delivered a large Army crane to the Depot. Am I right? Was EL flat 8909 maybe used as an "idler" car w/ the crane? Any info would help.
