My reason for writing is the picture referenced on your web site CP#2811. The Church we belong to has an old railroad bell in with the following markings; "Erie RR" inside the bell in two places and the number 2811 on the outside. I am trying to trace where this bell came from as there seems to be no records to be found. I can tell you this. The Church was erected in 1938 and the clapped inside the bell has a patent date of 1924. The clapper is the pneumatic type. If you can shed any light I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance, Rob Stawicki Scoutmaster, Troop 38 ------------------------------------------------------------ Visit the erielack photopage at http://el-list.railfan.net ------------------------------
