Now that I know what's happening over next to the "long slip" (light rail
construction) it makes sense. A few of follow-up questions:

Where is the light rail coming from? Exchange Place through Newport? Is that
what the concrete support construction is for? How are passengers going to get
into Hoboken Terminal? Is any other NJT stuff going to be ripped up down by
Track 18? Looks like they will have to in order to build walkways from the light
rail...

Seth T.: Where do you get your (excellent) information? Is there a web site of
mailing list that outlines the light rail plans in detail? I've been unable to
find anything on any of the NJ state sites...

Finally (mandatory E-L content...) What's going to happen to the black EL
covered hopper numbered 9700 that's still sitting with those (wire?) cars in the
(now old) MOW storage area? It looks like those cars are soon to be stranded
there!
