(erielack) Tower Designations

I got a chance to look over George Elwood's listing of our tower designation
contributions and I thought I might add a few rather obscure ones to the
list. But first, one correction needs to be made: there is an entry for "BT
tower, Bergen Jct".
This is entry is incorrect. BT tower was at Coalburg Jct and Bergen Jct Tower
was called "BR". This entry should be erased.
Secondly, a question. While I was looking thru the "The Next Station Will
Be..." series of books published by the Railroadians, I can across a picture
of Arden station with a rather large tower next to it. The tower looks to be
about the size of SF in Suffern. Does anyone know if this was "TC" tower? If
not, does anyone know where "TC" tower was located exactly? Or what was that
tower at Arden?
Also, does anyone know if "RM" tower in Ramsey ever really existed? I
remember seeing a reference to it in Railroad Model Craftsman back in the
60's, but I've never seen a picture of it.
NJ&NY Jct Tower HB
Oradell Tower DA end of double track on NJ&NY Br
Spring Valley Tower ZY
Pompton Jct Tower PJ at NYS&W crossing
Port Jervis East End BC
Sparrowbush Tower WX west end of Port Jervis Yard
South Paterson Tower SH
(Guarded a trolley crossing at South Paterson Station on the Newark
Br)
BTW, those "Next Station Will Be..." books have alot of references to
telegraph call letters for the stations if anyone is interested.
