Agreed, that benefit for all would be best, but I sure don't feel like

It's a toughie, but in the end success will be brought by ditching parochial
thinking. Sure PA might benefit from the P'burg museum, but the NJ museum
will benefit ten-fold because of the PA attractions. I guess my point is, PA
gains little and NJ gains a strong foundation that does not exist anywhere
else in the state... except perhpas in the est Orange-Patterson area where
another industrial museum cluster exists.
Yes, I welcome my tax dollars to go where PA and NJ will benefit. The
regional ecomony and tourist support infrastructure is much more important to
me.
If the rest of country saw the benefit of that, we'd be a step closer to
endin pork barrels.
Do what is right for the greater good is a great motto. In this case, it's a
home run.
Of course, it also now New Jersey's to squander. Time will tell if a
professional museum staff is hired, more equipment is gathered, and the
transferral from the URHS to the museum goes smoothly. All three of those
things need to happen, in my estimation, to set a firm foundation...
especially the hiring of a professional staff... it has made all the
difference in Steamtown, Sacramento and Baltimore. I hope that the NJ museum
goals are that high.
