Modern, singled ended passenger boats that are painted white.  A new floating 
terminal in the World Finanical Center, a short distance north, and about a 
thousand feet out into the Hudson, from where the Barclay Street slip used to 
be.  Ferry's from Jersey City and Hoboken dock on opposite sides of the 
barge.  Manhattan Island has been built out quite a bit. 

With the construction of the West Side Highway and the WFC, that part of 
Manhattan has grown tremendously.  Just saw an illustraction in Dave Monte 
Verde's collection that showed lower Manhattan from the air, and 140 Cedar 
Street -- Lackawanna's corporate headquarters -- was located on the water.  
Today, it's a ten minute walk inland from the water, and across the street to 
the south of the World Trade Center buildings.
