I am writing a brief history (for publication in the "Diamond", I hope)
of the Buffalo & Southwestern Division of the Erie Railroad with
particular emphasis on the independent life and times of the Buffalo &
Jamestown Railroad (1872-1877) and the B&SW Ry. (1877-1895). Some
detail questions:
1. What were the B&J's Buffalo Passenger terminal arrangements?
2. What were the B&J's Buffalo Carload and LCL Freight terminal
arrangements?
3. Where was the B&J Buffalo Engine House?
4-6 Same questions re the B&J Jamestown terminals
7. Did the B&J have an interchange with the Erie-NYLE&W near South
Dayton (where the Dunkirk Branch went under the B&J)
If you can help in definitively answering some of these I would value
hearing from you.
