Does anyone know how many covered hoppers Corning Glass once owned? When did they get them, and when did they get rid of them? I recall most (if not all) were ACF-style, either 2-bay or 3-bay(?) with the pea-soup green paint and white middle stripe and black letters. What was their load origin, the typical routing, and the EL interchange point of these cars? Where were the cars unloaded in the Corning area? Was it downtown or out at the facilities in Erwins west of the GangMills yard? l think one of the plastic manufacturers made a model of a 3-bay hopper painted for Corning.
