To all, Does anyone know how the DL&W served the local industries in Netcong, NJ in the 1950's? Since the leads to these industries were all off of the Sussex Branch track there, I was wondering if they were served by the Sussex Branch local freight or whether they were taken care of by a switcher running a transfer from Port Morris, because the yard was so close. If the local served them, when it picked up cars in Netcong, did it take all of them, whether loads or empties, all of the way to Newton and Branchville while it worked the rest of the line? If it was served by Port Morris, how often were they served?
