Someone asked if the status of the old Erie main between Hornell and Corry had changed any. I asked a friend of mine out in Jamestown if he had heard anything. He told me that the local papers reported that New York State has granted NS the 10 year tax abatement they were asking for. What NS will do next is unclear but one of the stipulations for the abatement was to keep the line in service.
