Yesterday, I received a gft from my father (An Erie/EL Marion Division Brakeman). He told me that it was a kerosene lamp taken from an Erie caboose. This lamp consists of an unmarked base, approximately 6 1/4" in diameter, with a screw-in filler plug and a screw-in center hole for the wick and adjustment screw. The globe is a straight, clear glass, about 10" tall. Might someone know where I might find out how these were mounted, when these were used and when the cabooses stopped using them? Thanks much.
