That "shop" is Model Railroad Post Office, aka MRPO. These are pretty well done (very, actually) and are a whole lot better (or at least that's the rumor) than the upcoming (or are they out yet??) Athearn versions. I have a 4-door that I could be persuaded to part with, I suppose, if someone wants to talk to me about it. But you should call MRPO up and see if they still have them first. I'm pretty sure that they still have the 8-doors. The BCR color is a bit dark on these but otherwise quite well done. The EL did have these cars - see pages 98, 99 & 100 in Larry DeYoung's book. Note his comments. You could be completely correct that you didn't see them on the EL - they operated largely off-line in equipment pools.
