another reference?<

Thank you for the compliments, much work to go yet. I would love to have
access to this reference. Is it available? I've seen his work in various
books. I'm trying to figure out how to adapt his drawing of Hoboken
terminal w/o stepping on his copyright. I have the NJT station plan which
I can use. I will be adding the grade and curve data over time. What I
would like to come across is the track plan for the Erie's Jersey City
terminal. Never got to see it, I was a little to young to be exploring
then. I was lucky enough to see the end of service at the CNJ's JC
teminal. The CNJ plans are scanned 1960 originals forced into B/W. I
suspect the updates go a bit later into the 60's, one track has been taken
out of service on the Newark Bay bidge and the connections at "XC" for
Aldene are noted. The color files are too big for the room C'serve gives
me for web space. I think this might be the last set the CNJ drew up, the
Conrail era drawings are taken directly from these. Future posting will
include the High Bridge, Seashore, and Freehold branches, and the Southern
Division main if room permits.

If you feel the site would draw interest, please link it. Warn that it's
not done. I would like to include text, but other than what I've read in
current books I have nothing to add other than my interpretation of the
drawings and some experience riding the lines as they are now. I will try
to be as accurate as possible in the lines, eg ERR Passaic and DLW
Paterson, that are gone forever.

Here's a question; how did the ERR Newark Branch and the DLW Boonton Line
interact at Paterson Jct. before the abandonment of the Passaic and
Paterson lines? Was it an 'at grade diamond', or did the tracks merge and
separate at some distance? The profile doesn't give me a good picture of
this on either side.

Hank
