I just picked up the DIAMONDS, FLAGS, & STATUES issue on Lackawanna diesels. When reading about the locomotive assignments in 1957, I found one of the passenger GP-7's assigned to a mail train. Further information said this train usually ran Thursdays and Fridays and was not in any timetable. The locomotive left Hoboken in the morning and returned early evening. Where did this train run to and over what lines? Does anyone have any actual arrival and departure times along the line? Did it carry an RPO or was it all bulk mail?
