I believe Guilford may still have a couple of hulks left, too - This is not correct, at least the part about the LA&L C424's isn't. The GM of LA&L says that they bought their 424's from Guilford, or from the owner who leased them to Guilford or whatever - the legitimate owner - and that they are ex-EL. Furthermore, they include the 2401 - the FIRST 424, as well as others of that group. We (the board of the ELHS) approached the GM (who is an extremely sympathetic member) about the possiblity of repainting 2401 "properly," and assisting with the cost as a way of showing our appreciation. OK with him (more than OK, actually), OK with the LA&L BOD, but the CMO, well, he's sorta got the key to the paint room and he's always wanted to see a lineup of LA&L C424's . . . . Ain't gonna happen. BTW, I don't think you're right about the 425 either but I don't really know for sure.
