Hello:
On October 2 a good friend of mine, Bobby Apgar retired from
Conrail. He started on the Erie RR in July 1955 working on the
Greenwood Lake Line. He was on the EL and finally Conrail where he
worked the local here in Dover for a bunch of years. Florida has gained
yet another great railroader.
That brings me to a question. Does anybody have any idea what
percentage of the railroaders working in the NJ railroading scene
(including Conrail) are from the DL&W, Erie, or EL?
