GVT has most of those C425's between Scranton and Utica/Carthage, at least most of the existant ones. The ones on LA&L and Minnesota Connecting are GE rebuilds of C424's that went to Conrail, and the LA&L's C425 is a NH unit. I believe Guilford may still have a couple of hulks left, too - nice article on the CR units in the current issue of Diesel Era, in addition to an article on LV diesels - The original numbers were 2460's and one of the D-L's is a 2461. I believe all of them are getting original numbers back under GVT numbering, although not all will get EL paint back. I wouldn't call it restored exactly, anyways - they're still working! :o) - ---------- > From: Donald Kern <"doubletrack_@_home.com"> > To: alcoman <"alcoman_@_net.bluemoon.net">; erielack@internexus.net > Subject: Re: (erielack) Restored EL 2nd generation diesels ?? > Date: Wednesday, September 30, 1998 9:21 PM > > GVT Sub.
