(erielack) More on P2K GP7's...

Here's the press release from Life-Like's home page. This variation implies
that it's only good for the DL&W freight units, not the DL&W/Erie passenger
ones:

The EMD GP7 set the image of modern railroading. Its utilitarian design and
angular car body designed for
visibility was the precursor of modern motive power. Powered by the reliable
567 prime mover rated at 1,500
horsepower, the GP7 was rostered by the vast majority of the nation's
railroads. Numerous examples can still
be seen in operation nearly forty years after its introduction. The GP7 and
its successors can truly be called a
locomotive for all seasons.
The PROTO 2000 GP7 model represents a dynamic-braked, non steam generator
version of this locomotive.
The prototype was used in all railroading environments: that of heavy main
line trains, steep grades, branch
lines, and switching.
PROTO 2000 continues to add improvements that keep the brand on the leading
edge of innovation. The GP7
will be supplied DCC ready. The molding of this completely new body casting
is razor sharp and it is easily
removable from the mechanism with the addition of a screw mounting system.
PROTO 2000 magnetic knuckle
couplers are included as standard equipment.
Seven road names as well as undecorated are featured with this release. The
GP7 is scheduled for shipment in
October. This release will be limited production.
