the one in EL In Color V1 was shot in '68; I believe they were traded in
'69-'70 on SD45-types.   H-16-44's didn't last as long, but went via
Streigel to 
C-H-P in Mexico and existed much longer (any of them still left? there was
a couple not that long ago).

: dipped handrails were strictly freight.  Both are perfectly correct for
: the EL.  I don't think they lasted very long on the EL.  I think they
: were traded in for EMD equipment shortly into the merger.  Not sure
