(erielack) Railroad Murder

Hello,

I am doing research on a murder that took place around Olean and
Allegany NY between the years 1880 and 1900. A yard-master, John Lehan,
was murdered and his body went undiscoverd for awhile. I think this
murder was not solved. Is there a place to find any records such as
employment, pension records you would think that the railroad would have
kept some file about this murder. Where do I go for information?
Any help would be appreciated.
