Some typical Channel names for railfans are Railfan, CyberRails and MSTS. You can create your own channel by entering any channel name which does not already exist.

This Java Chat Applet uses Open Source Software and has been examined and tested by Henry.

The first time you use this chat it will download the approximately 150 KB Java Applet to your computer. When it attempts to run you may be presented with certificate requestor stating that the applet is unsigned and asking you if you would like to accept it. It *IS* safe to run, no malicious connections to your computer will appear, so just accept it and chat away!

Dialup users may experience a delay of a minute or two the first time this is used while the java applet downloads and initializes.

This has been tested with Netscape 4 and higher, Internet Explorer 5 and higher and Opera 7, all on M$ Windoze. This doesn't work with earlier versions of NS or IE and Opera versions lower than v7 are untested as of yet.
