Diner-lounge on the C&O's "George Washington" at CUT in July 1968.
This diner-lounge is kind of interesting. It lacks the blue stripe because it was originally built for the "Chessie", an train to be pulled by an experimental steam turbine-electric which the C&O never ran in revenue service.
Chip was told the "Chessie" cars would be distinctively decorated without the blue stripe.
This car ended up serving on C&O trains 1 and 2 as the automobile and airplane took over long distance transportation.

Here's one I found the other day. I had it labeled "NYC Office Car". It was taken at Winton Place Station in suburban Cincinnati in 1967.
I assume it was either at the rear of an NYC train headed north to Columbus and Cleveland or on the rear of a PRR Cincinnati-Logansport-Chicago train.
In later years the NYC service to Columbus and Cleveland was a single RDC car. So this was either just prior to the RDC or was a PRR train.
NYC's other service in Cincinnati (The James Whitcomb Riley to Chicago) didn't pass through Winton Place as I recall.

The first run of the "Chesapeake Railroad" on January 17, 1997
Chesapeake Railroads plans were to run from Easton, Maryland to Clayton.
However efforts to open the line were hampered by local politicians in Easton, who wanted a "Rails-to-Trails" line rather than a railroad.
They won. As far as I know Chesapeake Railroad never made it to Easton, MD (corrections welcome, perhaps I'm mistaken).
Cars were stopped to watch all along the line, as far as I know it had been at least 20 years since this area had rail service.

Amtrak (ex-Chesapeake & Ohio) depot at Thurmond, WV Summer 1999
The depot at Thurmond is a good example of the architecture used by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway.
Recently it has been totally restored and is occupied by the National Park Service. The original railroad theme has been retained, complete with baggage/mail room with mail and baggage, telegraphers office, yardmasters office, etc.
The building is open to the public and is staffed by park rangers. It is also a flag stop for Amtrak's "Cardinal".
Thurmond is a bit out of the way but is worth the trip for persons interested in railroads and/or railroad architecture as well as history regarding the New River Gorge area of West Virginia.
