All Pictures were taken from a Cessna 172 from 1500-2000 feet above the ground.
These pictures could not have been taken without the help of
the Buffalo Air Traffic Controllers[ATC] who coordinated my plane with
other arriving/departing aircraft.
These were taken before NS expanded the yard.
Most of the pics are grainy due these pics having gone through a couple of
systems. I'm lucky to still have them.

NS' Bison Yard in Sloan NY
The ROW of the LV is curving away at left.
The untouched portion of NS' Bison yard is visible on the east side (bottom) of Harlem.

Visible are the hundreds of trailers waiting to be processed. You can also see the auto-cars on the north side.
At the upper left the triangular resevoir is visible which was inside a wye created by the DL&W City Branch, Black Rock Branch and East Buffalo Yard approaches. All the those rails were pulled up in 1983.
