Count on a local yokel to ruin a great shot of a meet. This picture would have been near perfect with both moving trains and the depot in the same shot.
You could hear me swearing all the way from Rochester after I clicked this one off! I'm still waiting for them to come out with portable roadblocks which will fit in the trunk of the Railfan Cobra!

siding diverging to the right.

Looking east along CR's Southern Tier Line by the Darien Depot.
CR has recently completed trackwork on this section of the Tier as evidenced by the resurfaced grade crossing. Work was still underway around Attica at this time.
